Its been 9 months since I last posted on my blog.There have been varied reasons y i cudn’t write.About which I’ll be writing in another blog.

Right now wish to talk about sthg else.

When I blogged, I used to blogroll those whom I liked reading.But the frequency of their writing faded away over time.Barring a few, the others are almost on last legs.

Which made me ponder.
Why do people blog?
1. To vent out their feelings which they can’t find an audience to.

2. To do something new, for which they have been waiting for so long.
Everyone seems to be in quest of that “Something”.For some blogging is tht “Something”, or so they think. They stick to it and carry on with more n more passion, they are the ones whose blogs are alive and kicking even after years.

But for the rest, it was another hand at tht elusive “Something”, which they started with hope n vigour, but could not crossover coz midway they were made to understand thts not IT.These are the people who shun blogging midway after much fanfare.

3. The “ME-TOO” junta.The category of people who wants to not lose out on the latest fad.If my nerd friend who scored pathetic in English last summer, has a blog, y dont I. Such people just take the blogspace, and write one of the grotesque blogs ever.They don’t know why they are writing, what they are writing.But they are just writing to be counted.

4. Some people are sincere at heart.So, once they start anything, they wish to be sincere with it.Even if they dont like the medium, but they cant face the guilt of not giving enof time to their blogs. So, they keep the blogging on even if they cant keep their own interest going in what they write, forget about keeping other’s interest alive.

5. For teenagers , it is one medium of show off or a way to attract the opposite sex.Its too easy to slip in the URL any and every where, where ppl can have a look, and fall head over heels over you, or go ga-ga over you.

6. Some people blog coz they have no better use of the net.They have unlimited access, unlimited time, but dont know how to spend it.So, they just blog telling readers on which side of bed they got up today.

7. Some people blog coz they are so obsessed with themselves, that they have to make people hear of what they do in life. Their blogs are nothing but a diatribe of their own self. A soliloquy.

8. Some people blog to spread education, share their knowledge, share their experience so that others can learn, generally hovering round one topic or subject.

8. And then there are those genuine ppl who blog not for others, not to show off, not to be in the herd, not to be part of any race.They write just for themselves.They write coz they are passionate about it.They write coz they want to give wings to their thoughts, a structure to the imagination, a personification to their ingenuity.
And for me, these are “THE” blogs. But alas, they are few and far in between.OR Maybe I might not have come across them.But they are a luxury and a breath of fresh air, which one can ask for.

That is what I feel is blogging all about. Whoever said, “Originality is banal” must hv erred.

No marks for guessing where yours truly falls.
