It happenned yet again,
The barbaric carnage of the innocent,
The inhuman display of an unwarranted cause.
But the moot question that raises its ugly head.
How long can v allow all this,
How long v’ll let them make a mockery of our restrain,
How long can v stretch our tolerance,
How long can v remain a soft state ready to be bullied.
Just how long………….
The tolerance has seen its limits,
The patience has given way.
Its time to raise the cudgels.
Get ready to do something.
Killing mankind was never considered apt,
But the elimination of inhuman animals is sacrosanct.
Its time for some ‘KARMA’.
And we shud b ready for it.
P.S. Just to add, as many of my readers have mistook my talk as a call for riots. What I was talking was not to raise the war internally, but internationally. I hope u ppl can c my post now in better light.

Hey Varun n K2 , my apologies for being not explicit in my post.I think I miscommunicated the whole idea.
I have updated the post after u ppl’s comments.
I am not at all preaching riots at any point of time.
Most of us know the perpetrators of such heinous acts, tht repeatedly happen to our country.
My fight is against them, we can’t sit back, keep cleaning the shit they do, and keep the pep talk on.
Beefing up security, better probing , implementing changes in police etc. are knee-jerk reactions.
We need to be proactive and stem the problem from the root.
Its now the time to walk the talk.

Nice question. Terrorists do not appear from thin air, transport explosives invisibly. These acts are not possible without local networks and planning with locals. Spreading of hatred in places of worship is encountered most commonly. Certainly the intellegence does and is duty bound to watch out for people who conduct hate campaigns and keep them under the scanner. If this is not the job of the intellegence agencies, what else is?
“It is not time to take up the cudgels” - we must take up cudgels against terrorism, is it difficult to understand that?
Comment by Badari Narayanan 07.12.06 @ 7:07 amHey Badri,
No doubt, such acts can’t happen without the local accomplices. We need to put our house in order.
But tht is one key to preventing the crime.
Wht actions are we taking against the perpetrators, even after knowing them.
We just conducts some press conferences, ridicule the carnage, talk of solidarity n stuff, n after few days sweep it under the carpet.
The perpetrators smile at such foolhardiness and start preparing for the next attack.
When are we gonna act on the ground???

Comment by Asset 07.12.06 @ 2:22 pmVery nice poem, I must say. One really wonders when and how this madness will end. One can only hope that a permanant long term solution is found.
Comment by Hiren 07.12.06 @ 6:55 pmThanx Hiren.
Me 2 wishing the same.
But wishes can only be turned true by some action on ground.

It is not time to take up the cudgels. What it is time is to beef up security, and police enforcement. Also, to make sure that we have investigations probing a) who was responsible and bringing them to justice under the aegis of the law, and b) investigating what went wrong, and implementing changes into our police system to prevent such things from happening.
I understand your blood is boiling, and so is mine, and my first thought was indeed similar to yours, but terrorism only works when the terrorists force us to change our ways for the negative, and becoming violent is indeed a change for the worse. Lets keep cool, and in the next few days make sure that this incident is not shamelessly exploited by political parties, and other organisations, and prevent something like the 93 riots from reoccuring. Better communication and interaction betweem all sections of society is the need of the hour, not alienation and suspicion.
